As soon as I moved in, I felt part of a family!

I came to New Albany Care Center initially for rehabilitation after being in the hospital. I was in terrible shape when I got out of the hospital, but New Albany's therapy program got me back on my feet! I was then lucky to move into the Gardens Assisted Living here at New Albany.  I wanted to be closer to my daughters here in Columbus, and I am so glad that I did! Everyone here is so friendly and made me feel right at home. You can be as busy as you want to be with all the activities and outings!

“Monterey Helped Me Walk Again!”

Sue Wheeler Rehab patient at Monterey Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing & Memory Care

“After a full six months as a patient at Monterey, I have finally “graduated” my therapy schedule. I thank therapy for their hard work to get me where I am today. Without their hard pushing, I know that I would not be walking out the door with my own foot, and my prosthetic! Not many expected me to ever be able to leave, much less walk out the door. The nursing staff has been super and I credit them for saving my life. The aides have all been so patient and helpful. From the beginning when I had to be lifted in and out of bed with the hoyer to now - I’m extremely independent! I have met so many wonderful and caring people during my stay here from the terrific nurses to Social Services to the finance department. Thank you to everyone at Monterey!”
